The 2006 Born Free 24 of Born Free Motorcoach Inc. is light and compact. The chassis and engine is manufactured by Ford and comes with a 6.8L gas or turbodiesel engine, a 158” wheelbase and a 4-speed automatic transmission. It covers more distance with its 55 gallon fuel capacity, unlike other motor homes that only hold 40 gallons. Its exterior height is 9’10” while the interior height is 6’4”. Also, the exterior is 24’10” long and 8’ wide. The exteriors (wall, roof and underbelly) are made of fiberglass with wood and steel framing with insulation made of spun fiberglass. It has a freshwater capacity of 29 gallons, which is small compared to other RVs that have capacities of up to 40 gallons. However, its water-heater capacity is at the standard 6 gallons. It also comes with a 45 converter rating and a 30,000 BTU furnace
In the kitchen, the RV comes equipped with a Norcold 6 refrigerator, a 3-burner stove and a standard microwave convection. The LP-gas capacity comes at 23.2. The bathroom has a lavatory and shower located at the rear. The two beds can either be 80”x70” or 76”x50”. You can opt to have either carpet or vinyl flooring.
There is an option to have air conditioning (13,500 BTU) or a Generac 3.6 kW generator installed. Other options include an oven, solar-power system, Roof Air conditioning, an LCD TV, a Bose Wave Radio and satellite dish. The chassis and coach comes with a 3-year or 36,000 mile warranty, whichever comes first. It is not yet wired for solar power or for satellite TV.
